The Gaston Gazette, part of USA Today, based in Gastonia, NC may be the place for you. We are looking for a Press Maintenance Technician who will perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance to maintain, diagnose, and repair specified production equipment and systems.
Must be willing to work in a high-paced environment, supporting production and deadlines, and be a team player who can achieve and maintain on-time production performance, including product quality and accuracy standards and operational safety including OSHA & EPA compliance.
This position requires a high school education or equivalent. Working knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical skills. Minimum five years of related experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
Physical demands include: pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, stretching, and working in tight positions. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and work in conditions of heat, humidity, noise (from machinery), and working with various oils, solvents, and other related chemicals.

This position will pay up to $28 per hour based on experience. Hours: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm, may include weekends and holidays.
