CONCORD — Some online services provided by the Cabarrus County Register of Deeds remain down following a cybersecurity event with the Greensboro-based records website vendor.

Impacted services include public online access to land records and indexes of births, deaths and marriages.

No other Cabarrus County services are impacted.

Upon learning of the situation, Cabarrus Information Technology Services officials implemented an incident response plan and briefly shut down internal connection to the vendor as a precaution. The County’s cybersecurity team continues to monitor the network and all connected devices.

The Register of Deeds office at the Government Center (65 Church St. S, Concord) has not been affected and remains open to record documents and perform all other tasks. Submission of electronic recordings and online marriage applications also remain available.
