The nation's historians are available to journalists through the Organization of American Historians' database of experts.

After the 2016 elections, the Organization of American Historians received many phone calls about immigration, women's rights and many other historical queries. Journalists wanted to put these current topics into historical context. The organization has many people that can help journalists write more thorough stories.

The database to connect with historians is free and has more than 650 historians. There are 18 categories that are available to media at the local, national and international level. It will be updated as more historians are added. Journalists will be able to search by categories of U.S. history such as civil rights, race relations, business and more.
