Job Purpose:
The Sales and Marketing Representative is responsible for maintaining and growing business for the company under the direction of the Regional Publisher.
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess one to three years of sales experience, knowledge of the market and be a part of the community. Experience selling print and digital media sales also preferred. Must be computer savvy for creating proposals, sending emails, contracts, calendar scheduling and client research.
Responsibilities:
Aggressively prospect, secure and manage local advertising clients with an emphasis on developing new business. Build strong relationships with clients. Qualify leads and close new businesses that are a fit for our niche publications. This requires strong time-management and self discipline skills. Balancing a strong client base, contracts, tasks, and frequent deadlines are just part of the position. In addition, executing effective email campaigns, achieving cold call goals and setting sales appointments with presentations of our products are a necessary part of this job.
