Ensuring the editing team meets its deadlines. Hiring and training new reporters and correspondents. Community relations.
Creates editorial budget and calendars.
Supervising the content creation process from writing through editing and publishing.
Managing and recruiting a team of freelancers
Managing Editor Skills and Qualifications
The successful editor must have technical and leadership skills, strong writing and editing skills, working knowledge of layout. The successful candidate will have strong time management skills and prioritize projects and set realistic expectations, priorities, and deadlines for the staff.

Education and Training Requirements
