Somewhere out there, Randolph A. Shotwell is having a good laugh.

Or maybe he's spinning in his grave just a touch.

Shotwell, you see, founded this newspaper 150 years ago — actually, a weekly forerunner called the North Carolina Citizen, which later became a daily, merged with what became the Times and became the paper you're holding today (or reading on your phone or iPad).
