With the increase of student activism brought on by recent school shootings, journalists must look to new (and younger) sources of information than they ever have before in order to get their news. 

The idea of using children and adolescents for interviews has been a long-held concern for journalists as most question what the minimum age of interviewees should be. In the wake of recent traumatic events like the school shooting in Parkland, Fla., journalists have also faced uncertainty as to how to question children about sensitive topics. And to what extent should persmission be granted in talking to these youths?
