Ad scams about a "personal assistant" or "office assistant" are nothing new; they come in every week. However, some are showing a new level of sophistication when it comes it comes to getting them published in the paper.
At first glance, the ad below appears legit:

This position is for the super-organized person who enjoys working with people and numbers. At first glance, this appears to be a legitimate ad. But when looking up the web site for the company named, there is no branch anywhere but in Charlotte. The guy who wants to place the ad has a 919 area code. Another clue? Novant is pretty big and certainly has an HR department, so why is the email "@pediatrition.com" and not "@novant.com."
