• Elizabeth O’Donovan has joined The Herald-Sun of Durham as editorial page editor. She previously was city editor of the Enquirer-Journal in Monroe. Both papers are part of the Paxton Media Group.
• Robin Clayton is the new editor of The News of Orange County. The Roxboro native spent the past five years working for small daily newspapers in North Carolina and Virginia.
• Ron Wilmot, 63, publisher of the Warren Record and the Lake Gaston Gazette-Observer of Littleton, died Jan. 5.
