Advertising Intern Responsibilities include:
Providing administrative and clerical support
Help build rapport with clients and media outlets
Assisting in billing and collections of accounts
The North Carolina Press Service is a member organization made up of newspapers across the state and we are looking for a positive, driven advertising intern to join our team and provide administrative support to our media buying operations. Immediate need for part-time intern to handle advertising administrative duties. Can work remotely on your own hours around your schedule. This is a vital role in our advertising placement service. You will gain experience in media planning and buying. You will work with newspaper advertising departments across the state. It will require 10-15 hours per week.
In this role, you should be well-organized with strong analytical skills and an eye for detail. If you’re working toward a career in media-buying or advertising and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we’d like to meet you.
Help Sales Director develop, execute and monitor media plans and orders;
Confirm ad placements, data entry;
Resolve issues and help build strong relationships with newspapers and clients
Experience in digital advertising is a plus
Familiarity with media planning and buying
Proficient in G Suite; PowerPoint; Adobe CS.
Good research skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills; will need to reach clients by phone.
Ability to meet tight deadlines under minimal supervision
Working toward a degree in Marketing, Advertising or similar field
